From Torrey Canyon to Tod
The recent upsurge in oil spill occurrences for example the Macondo Well in the Gulf of Mexico as well as spills in  China, Korea and Australia, remind us that the problem of oil spills has not gone away.  Furthermore, it is by no means only oil tankers that continue to cause spills, as many of these recent events have shown. Pipelines and particularly exploration wells can cause internationally significant emergencies.

In these times of economic downturn  and business uncertainty it is a major challenge to maintain a high level of emergency preparedness and manage increasing environmental pressure, under conditions of continuing cost cutting, re-structuring and staff reductions.

Robin Perry and Associates (RPA) can assist you in meeting these challenges
Spill Experience
As a young Royal Navy officer Robin saw the birth of modern spill response at the Torry Canyon spill in 1967.  In 1977 he joined the oil industry in the North Sea, followed by five years as General Manager of Oil Spill Response Limited.  After forming RPA, this led to calls from the UK Maritime and Coastguard Agency to assst at the Sea Empress spill and from the International Maritime Organisation to provide assitance to the Yemen Government at the the Limburg spill. During a later interlude as a Vice President of SEACOR Environmental Services International(SESI), he established a major response base in the UAE, before reforming RPA in 2009.

Robin's experience includes major spill responses in Europe, the United States, Middle East and Australia.  RPA therefore utilises almost four decades of oil spill response experience, gained in four continents.  As a result we are uniquely placed to help Government, Regulatory Agencies and Industry meet the new economic and environmental challenges .

The Company concentrates on three specialist areas: Oil Spill Response, Response Planning and Oil Spill and Crisis Management Training and Exercises.  We have a particularly close rela\tionship with the Bahrain based Marine Emergency Mutual Aid Centre, (MEMAC) as their principal spill response trainer and exercise development partner.  We have either managed responses or attended almost 30 spills.  This gives us unrivalled response expertise which we utilise to provide our clients with consultancy or response assitance in these areas of expertise.

Our Associates cover the whole range of coastal environmental issues, equipment selection and electronic spill decision tools. This enables us to offer turnkey solutions to oil spill, environmental and crisis management problems worldwide.
